Dueigaoyue Station

Dueigaoyue is a station of Chushan Line. Tourists can also watch the sunrise on the observatory of Dueigaoyue. Wooden path, maple leaf, cherry blossom, sea cloud, and snow-view are the features of this station. We will wake up in the dark and catch a sunrise for the start of the day. Once you see the first direct rays break above the horizon, it may fill you with tranquility, accomplishment, and the appreciation of the beautiful moment.

DueiGaoYue – Sunrise viewing spots

Even though a viewable sunrise is not guaranteed every day, it’s still worth the attempt for taking the forest train and standing on the top of the mountain.

Alishan House

Located within Alishan Forest Recreation Area, it sits at an elevation of about 7,200 feet (2200 meters) with stunning vistas of the mountains and forests. The actual hotel has two parts; the modern and the historic part. In the historical building, there’s an antique cafe whose decorations remain in the 50’s and there are also historical rooms preserved with their original setup since many former Taiwanese presidents or worldwide leaders (i.e. Lee Kuan Yew) used to stay there when visiting Alishan. In the modern side of the hotel, there are sky garden and roof top observatory deck which you can fully utilize at anytime.

 Sister Lakes is located about 164 feet apart along the trail. The pavilion in the middle of the lake escalates the beauty to another level, especially with the reflection in the lake. If you are lucky enough to run into a sunny day, watch the sunlight shine through the trees and onto the lakes. The gorgeous sight makes you feel like you are in a fairyland!

The coffee beans they used is grown and roasted by the resident Tsou tribal people, featuring the most local and complex flavors! Taiping Old Street stretches about 600 meters along Taiping Road in Douliu City, Yunlin County. The street has long been the main commercial area in Douliu, as well as an access route for villages to the south and north. Many of the buildings here have a Baroque style and date back more than 90 years, offering a glimpse of local architecture over the past century. From traditional snacks to historic buildings, Taiping Old Street recalls the traditional character and local flavors of Taiwan in earlier times.

Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum

Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum (NPM Southern Branch) is designed and supervised by architect Kris Yao of Artech, feature Chinese calligraphy techniques such as nongmo (flying white), feibai (thick dark ink), and xuanran (applying colors to drawings) that form the real mass (i.e., artifact display areas and artifact storerooms) and virtual mass (i.e., public reception areas) of the museum. The building also pays homage to ancient Chinese, Indian, and Persian civilizations by decorating its exterior with images of dragons, elephants, and horses. These characteristics turn the NPM Southern Branch into a unique environment and a new spotlight of the Chianan Plain.

06:40 Depart from Taipei (Meet at West Gate No. 3 of Taipei Main Station)

07:11 Take Taiwan High Speed Rail (HSR) from Taipei Main Station to HSR Chiayi Station. (Train number is subject to our final confirmation.)

07:20 Breakfast – It is very important to choose a nice breakfast since the day starts in the morning. We will prepare Fu Hang Soy Milk Breakfast for you to enjoy on the train. (Fu Hang Soy Milk, established in 1958, one of the wildly popular names when you search for Taiwanese breakfast. Our company chairman, Mr. Tai said,“Whenever I go for breakfast, there is always a long queue! You should try their popular dish – Thick Clay Oven Rolls. It is definitely my first choice for the breakfast in Taipei.”)
Meanwhile, we will provide each of our customers a pair of headphones before we arrive.
