The chef Zhiyong Cheng, born and raised in Yilan, is the soul of this restaurant. Twenty years ago, Mr. Chen started his career as a chef when he was eighteen. Ever since Mr. Chen opened up his restaurant ten years ago, he has insisted to personally pick out the fresh fish catches of the day from Nanfang-ao Port, bring them back to the kitchen directly, and use them as the ingredient of the night for customers. Being an expert at buying fish, Mr. Chen can spot the good catches; as a result, fish vendors always save him the best catches.
Aside from seafood, Chef A-Yong also insists that some of the ingredients have to be home-grown, others can be purchased from the stores if they are local and seasonal produce. Also, Mr. Chen emphasizes on the simplicity and authenticity of food, so he never uses store-bought sauces and only uses homemade sauces, pickled vegetables, and fruit vinegar that are passed down from his mom. From the food sources to when it is served on the tables, the Chef brought about the local culture. With his love and affection for ingredients, food, and cooking as well as the passion for sharing the exccellence of ingredients, customers tell it to each other again and again.

Off-menu Item Seasonal Prices (Chefa��s Choices) The item included soup, salad, appetizer, main course, fruits, and drink, which serves vegetables and fruits first and followed by meats. The healthy diet of white meat before red meat is $1,400 per person and up depending on the combinations of food for each order. Also, people can choose the Chefa��s Choice at seasonal prices, which allows foodies with no budget to enjoy the food.
