Mei Ling Huang was the youngest and the first female principal of this hundred-year- old Quingshui Elementary School. She became the principal at the age of 36, and now she had been in this position for 12 years. Not only did she have a bright appearance, outgoing, and down-to- earth personality, she also established great relationships with her teachers and students. Mei Ling Yang was not an old- fashioned principal; instead, she had a great sense of humor and even mocked herself saying: a?the relics were old enough and why were there even old men and old ladies in there?a?

As the principal of this old school, Mei Ling Huang brought relaxing and brand new atmosphere to it. As a resident, an alumnus of Qingshui Elementary School and four generations of her family graduated from the school; she felt proud to be the principal because the campus meant a lot to her. She suggested visitors walk around and browse the old romance in the campus; people can look at the hall, the door gate, the classrooms, the offices, the principalas office, the auditorium, the dormitory, the glass, the corridors, the pillars, and the details of Baroque style.

Combining the beautiful scenery and the cultures created amazing sparks. More importantly, this place was the only heritage school that still had students; also the school was very close to Qingshui Train Station. This historic architecture was a must-visit in the Qingshui District. If it was a group tour, people could make reservations through official documents or directly with the school. For an individual, people can visit during weekdays after 4 PM or on weekends or statutory holidays. Any tour guide would need to be reserved in advance.
