At the entrance of the restaurant there is a red table which is often used at banquets hosted by temples. How a familiar feeling! The welcoming owner Sister Hai said that the restaurant started up in 1956 by Sister Haias father-in- law and mother-in- law, being the first in Xiaoliuqiu. Sister Hai is now the third generation. Seafood hotpot contains anchovy larvae, eggs, squid, shrimps and other seafood. It is tasty and full of the flavors of the sea. Another innovative dish is Da-xin deep-fried spring rolls, which wrapper is made of glutinous rice, the fillings are made with tofu, pork, pork floss and mayonnaise. The texture is soft and it smells good. It is Japanese packersa favorite.

Honeycomb shrimps are deep-fried shrimps with duck eggs drip through filters just before theyare ready. The eggs become a beautifully shaped honeycomb egg bits. The ingredients are simple however it requires a lot of skills to make the shape so pretty. It is said that Da-xin is the first restaurant to make honeycomb egg bits.
