「乌布雨林」老板梁政滨,曾在菲律宾求学,游历于东南亚各国,从商后不忘热爱的岛屿风情,曾想过买下小岛圆梦,后来在鱼池发现这块满山野生蕨类之地,气候与热带雨林极为类似,即一手创立了「峇里峇里渡假村」。为了让住宿客人品尝道地的南洋料理,老板又特地赴印尼学习厨艺,2012年在民宿旁开设「乌布雨林」餐厅,店名取自峇里岛的一个艺术小镇,料理从食材到炊煮都亲自张罗,「就是不想让客人大老远来吃调理包」,未来还计画自己栽种峇里岛的香料,天然异国风味引人入胜。

建材全部进口

踏上石板路,礼仪伞和发呆亭率先映入眼帘,衬着满山槟榔树和热带植物,耳边传来清脆的打击乐音,许多客人来这里都会忍不住惊呼:「跟峇里岛好像!」不只是周围洋溢南洋景致,「乌布雨林」建材也全是老板亲自到峇里岛挑选,由5个货柜运来台,从灯具上的贝壳贴片、门把上的吉祥物「巴龙」木雕等家饰,可看出小细节也毫不马虎。门口居高临下的「大鹏金翅鸟」,还有替来客净身的吉祥寓意,餐厅外围以水景来取代高墙,更可以看出老板希望「亲近自然」的用心。

峇里岛天然香料套餐(390元+10%):含主菜、汤品、饭类、虾饼、凉拌青木瓜、甜点、香茅红茶老板接触峇里岛料理后,发现当地从食材到料理方式都很天然,如「黄姜饭」透亮的色泽就来自天然植物,堆成尖柱状象征祈福的宝塔,是东南亚国家不可或缺的喜宴主食。 「猪肉沙嗲」以竹签串肉先腌再烘烤而成,搭配微辣的沾酱,香嫩肉质略带薄脆口感,令人垂涎三尺。 「香料鸡汤」的汤头带有马告清香,美味又能补足元气。

泰国泰式料理套餐(390元+10%):含主菜、汤品、饭类、虾饼、凉拌青木瓜、甜点、香茅红茶泰式料理以酸辣口味为主,正统「绿咖喱椰奶鸡肉」辣度适中,搭配椰奶、鱼露等食材烹调,比起常见的红、黄咖喱,滋味更加香浓下饭。 「海鲜酸辣汤」为当地饮食的重头戏,扑鼻而来的酸香之气刺激味蕾,老板加入虾子、花枝、草菇等好料,汤头还有番茄慢熬后的醇厚风味。

The Owner Went Abroad

The owner of a�?Wu-Bu Rainforest,a�? Zheng Bin Liang, has studied in Philippine and traveled around Southeast Asia. He is so obsessed of the ambiance of islands that he even thought of buying one. Later he found the place full of ferns in Yuchih township. The weather is similar to rainforest so he founded the a�?Bali-Bali Villa.a�? To let the guests try the authentic South Asia flavor, he went to Indonesia to learn cooking. In 2012, he opened a�?Wu-Bu Rainforest Bali Restaurant,a�? which is named after an art town in Bali, by the B&B. He prepares the ingredients and cooks himself. Moreover, he plans to grow spices from Bali himself. The natural exotic flavor is so appealing.

Building Materials are All Imported

Stepping on the pavers, Bali-style pavilion, arecas and tropical plants come into sight. The sounds of percussion linger in the ears. Many guests cana��t help to praise, a�?Ita��s so similar to Bali!a�? The owner went to Bali and picked the building materials himself and shipped them by cargo ship. From the seashells on the lamp to the carving on the door, you can see the details are also well designed. The Garuda on top of the front door is a symbol of ablution for guests. The ditch that replaced the walls shows the effort of the owner to stand close to nature.

Natural Bali Spices Set (NTD.390+10%): Including the main dish, soup, rice, shrimp patties, papaya salad, dessert and black tea. The Bali cuisine is very natural. For example, the color of turmeric rice comes from the plant. At a wedding banquet in Southeast Asia, the rice is always served in a cone shape as a symbol of blessing. a�?Pork Sataya�? is grilled, marinated pork served with spicy sauce. The pork is tender with crispy surface. a�?Spiced Chicken Soupa�? has an aroma of Maqaw (mountain pepper). Ita��s so tasty and energizing.

Thai Cuisine Set (NTD.390+10%): Including the main dish, soup, rice, shrimp patties, papaya salad, dessert and black tea. Thai cuisine is normally sour and spicy. a�?Green Curry Chickena�? is cooked with coconut milk and fish sauce. Ita��s not too spicy but so savory and appetizing. a�?Hot and Sour Seafood Soupa�? is an important dish in Bali. The aroma is very strong. The owner adds shrimps, calamari, and mushrooms inside. The tomato in the soup also provides a mild taste after braising.

Singapore Spiced Chicken Set (NTD 390+10%): Including the main dish, soup, rice, shrimp patties, papaya salad, dessert and black tea. Ita��s complicated to make a�?Spiced Chicken.a�? First, braise the chicken with more than ten spices. The owner said that there are four sorts of ginger. Cover the chicken with banana leaves afterwards and steam it. The rich taste is unforgettable. a�?Bak Kut Teha�? has a flavor of Chinese herbs. The pork is salty and sweet. The soup is perfect for the rainy weather.

Pandan Coconut Cake (NTD.60+10%): The most popular dessert in the restaurant. Mix the natural pandan juice and coconut milk. The texture is smooth and silky because they insist not to add water. Many people wanted to take away after they have tried!
