Absorb magnificent landscape from the mountains facing the ocean
People easily think of the orange jasmine when they hear about the hotel, because Qilixiang is the Chinese name for orange jasmine. The fact is that the road circulating the island Kulangsu measures approximately 7 kilometers. The hotel was named after that. The first syllabus in the second word “She” means dormitory in Chinese. The reason for it is because the building used to be the dorm for foreign missionaries.
Leisure vacation along the coast
Located close by one of the must-see sights on Kulanyu — the Drum Wave Rock, Qilixiang faces the vast ocean through its courtyard that grows a few bushes of flowers and plants. The hotel is distanced from the commercial area, enjoying the tranquil environment on the mountain facing the sea. The owner of the hotel once described that “here is the place where you take one step back you can feel the green of the mountains, and one step forward you smell the smell of the sea.” In the main garden is the hotel’s coffee bar, where travelers may relax as they please in the wooden chairs and tables.
The building painted in brown merged with the green-filled environment, lying low profile behind the tall trees. Inside there is a garden restaurant, where several antique furniture made of wood or bamboo can be found. In addition, the many eastern-styled lights painted the room in a dim yellow. Visitors can’t help but slow down. At the seaside where waves endless wash ashore, the hotel’s quiet and relaxing atmosphere brings about a sense of vacation.
Sea view room the best seller
The twenty rooms at the hotel are each decorated with Chinese, southeast Asian, Japanese and Buddhism elements, creating rather different themes. The rooms with a view to the sea on the second floor is the most popular of all. The decorations are elegant, and every room has a balcony facing the sea. They are all located close to the sea. Even with the trees slightly blocking the view, sitting down on the rattan chair on the balcony, enjoying tea and the sunset makes a totally extraordinary sentiment.
The corridors between the rooms are rather interesting. If the lanterns at the entrance of the rooms are lit, that means the room is occupied. Natural scenery plus fine software and hardware are what make the hotel so much like a seaside resort! In particular, the way the owner treats the guests resembles the kind, passionate feelings that Taiwanese hostels offer their guests.
